Help Build the Future of Clean Energy

Sizewell C is one of the UK's most significant and ambitious infrastructure projects, playing a critical role in delivering the nation's energy security and net zero ambitions.

As we continue to mobilise and grow our workforce, we're looking for an experienced, resilient and commercially minded Recruiter to join our Internal Recruitment Team.

This is far more than a traditional recruitment role.

You'll be at the heart of one of the most complex workforce mobilisation programmes in the UK, partnering with senior leaders to attract and secure the talent needed to deliver a multi-billion-pound infrastructure project. From engineering and construction specialists to corporate and project professionals, you'll influence hiring decisions, shape recruitment strategies, and help build the teams that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

If you're passionate about recruitment, thrive in fast-paced environments, and enjoy acting as a trusted advisor rather than simply filling vacancies, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As a Recruiter within the Sizewell C Internal Recruitment Team, you'll manage end-to-end recruitment activity across a diverse portfolio of professional, technical and specialist vacancies.

Working closely with Hiring Managers, senior leaders and People teams, you'll develop innovative attraction strategies, provide market intelligence, directly source talent, and drive hiring processes from initial briefing through to offer acceptance and onboarding.

You'll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities, influencing stakeholders, and navigating a highly regulated environment whilst maintaining an outstanding candidate experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in one of the UK's most exciting and nationally significant projects.

What You'll Be Doing

Recruitment Delivery & Workforce Mobilisation

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment across a varied portfolio of vacancies.
  • Partnering with leaders to develop effective hiring and workforce mobilisation strategies.
  • Leading detailed recruitment briefings to understand business needs and market challenges.
  • Delivering recruitment campaigns across engineering, construction, project delivery, corporate and specialist functions.
  • Developing innovative attraction strategies to secure hard-to-find talent.
  • Providing market intelligence and recruitment expertise to support hiring decisions.
  • Proactively sourcing passive candidates through LinkedIn, talent mapping and networking.
  • Managing recruitment pipelines to ensure vacancies progress at pace.
  • Coordinating interviews, assessments and selection processes.
  • Negotiating offers and supporting hiring decisions.
  • Delivering a seamless onboarding experience for successful candidates.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Building trusted relationships with Hiring Managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Acting as a strategic recruitment advisor and challenging constructively when required.
  • Supporting workforce planning and organisational growth initiatives.
  • Guiding stakeholders through recruitment governance and best practice.
  • Providing regular updates on progress, risks, market conditions and delivery timelines.
  • Driving accountability and momentum throughout recruitment processes.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensuring recruitment activity remains compliant with policies, governance requirements and employment legislation.
  • Maintaining accurate recruitment data and reporting.
  • Supporting recruitment process improvement initiatives.
  • Contributing to employer branding and attraction strategies.
  • Working effectively within a highly regulated environment.
  • Managing external recruitment suppliers where required.

Candidate Experience & Employer Brand

  • Delivering an exceptional candidate experience from first contact through to onboarding.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Sizewell C in the external market.
  • Supporting networking events, attraction campaigns and talent initiatives.
  • Championing diversity, inclusion and equitable hiring practices.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Proven end-to-end recruitment experience gained within an in-house, agency or RPO environment.
  • Experience recruiting across complex, fast-paced and high-volume environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including partnering with senior leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong direct sourcing and talent attraction capability.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of recruitment market dynamics.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment compliance and governance.
  • Resilient, proactive and solutions-focused approach.

Desirable

  • Experience recruiting within infrastructure, engineering, construction, energy or other regulated sectors.
  • Experience supporting large-scale workforce mobilisation programmes.
  • Understanding of governance-led recruitment environments.
  • Experience working closely with People Partnering teams and workforce planning functions.

When joining Sizewell C, you may wonder why you are contacted by colleagues with an EDF email or see the EDF logo on portals that you access and/or documentation you receive; this is because we have partnered with EDF for the provision of a number of support services whilst we complete a successful transition out of the EDF group.

At Sizewell C we encourage and embrace diversity and how it can improve our experience and performance at work. It is a requirement that those who join us have the right to work in the UK. Whilst sponsorship may be a possibility that we can explore, we are fully committed to local recruitment where possible, and those already holding the right to work in the UK.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years
