We’re looking for a highly organised, proactive Personal Assistant who can operate at pace and bring real structure and energy to a growing Technical Directorate. This is more than a traditional PA role — you’ll be at the centre of the function, supporting senior leaders while also playing a key role in driving coordination, communication and delivery across a range of projects.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, with a dotted line into the Executive PA to the Chief Technical Officer, you’ll act as a trusted partner, ensuring priorities are managed effectively and the wider team operates smoothly and professionally.

What you’ll be doing

Executive & administrative support

  • Provide high-quality support to the Engineering Director and senior leaders across the Technical Directorate
  • Manage complex calendars, scheduling and meeting logistics
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, accommodation and itineraries
  • Prepare and process expenses
  • Draft professional correspondence, reports and presentations

Project & team support

  • Support the development of a newly forming directorate, helping to embed effective ways of working
  • Assist in delivering key initiatives, including internal communications and engagement activity
  • Help shape and support a clear identity for the Technical Directorate, building credibility across the wider organisation

Coordination & communication

  • Organise and support team meetings, workshops and presentations
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between the Technical Directorate and key stakeholders
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and visibility of priorities
  • Build an understanding of stakeholder expectations, including Board, investors and regulators

What we’re looking for

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships and influence at all levels
  • Comfortable working independently and using initiative
  • Highly adaptable, with a flexible approach in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional, discreet approach to sensitive information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Positive, proactive mindset with a willingness to get stuck in

Why this role matters

This role will play a key part in shaping how the Technical Directorate operates. You’ll help create clarity, improve ways of working, and ensure the function is well connected, visible and trusted across the wider project.

It’s an opportunity to step into a role with real variety, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the chance to make a tangible impact from day one.

When joining Sizewell C, you may wonder why you are contacted by colleagues with an EDF email or see the EDF logo on portals that you access and/or documentation you receive; this is because we have partnered with EDF for the provision of a number of support services whilst we complete a successful transition out of the EDF group.

At Sizewell C we encourage and embrace diversity and how it can improve our experience and performance at work. It is a requirement that those who join us have the right to work in the UK. Whilst sponsorship may be a possibility that we can explore, we are fully committed to local recruitment where possible, and those already holding the right to work in the UK.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years
