People Training Delivery Manager
Sizewell C’s business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Overall, whilst the Company is in the construction phase, the Boards’ principal focus is on the development and construction of Sizewell C on time, on budget and to the highest quality and safety standards. The Company is maturing to meet all these requirements.
Sizewell C is economically regulated by OFGEM under the RAB model similar to other UK electricity distribution networks and Thames Tideway.
Sizewell C construction strategy is to replicate the design of Hinkley Point C, using the majority of the same supply chain, but innovating in the way it is delivered to achieve savings in time and cost of around 20%. The CCO will need to be guided by and incorporate lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C commercial delivery to achieve Sizewell C’s ambition.
Following Financial Completion and Revenue Commencement, Sizewell C is fully funded and is owned by; The Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero representing HM Government, La Caisse, Centrica, EDF and Amber Infrastructure.

The Opportunity
Are you an experienced training delivery leader who knows how to turn complex workforce requirements into practical, high-quality learning programmes?
We are looking for a Training Delivery Manager to lead the planning, management and delivery of training and development activities across the Sizewell C project. This is a senior and highly visible position at the heart of our Workforce Capability and Training function, helping to ensure our employees, embedded contractors, supply chain partners and site-based workforce have the training they need to support mobilisation, compliance, operational readiness and long-term project performance.
Reporting to the Head of People: Workforce Capability & Training, you will translate workforce plans, project demand forecasts, contractor requirements and identified skills gaps into effective training programmes. These programmes must be delivered at the right time, in the right place and to the required standard.
You will also lead the day-to-day operational relationship with the Nuclear Skills Alliance and other strategic training partners, ensuring instructors, facilities, resources, systems and services remain aligned with the evolving needs of the project.
Why Join Sizewell C?
Sizewell C is one of the UK’s most important infrastructure projects. Once operational, it will provide reliable low-carbon electricity and support the UK’s long-term energy security.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant project that will create thousands of jobs, strengthen local and national skills capability and leave a lasting legacy for Suffolk and the wider UK.
You will join a collaborative and purpose-led organisation where safety, quality, inclusion and responsible delivery sit at the heart of everything we do.
Why Join Us as a Training Delivery Manager?
This is more than a traditional learning and development position. You will have the opportunity to shape how training is planned, coordinated and delivered across one of Europe’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects.
You will work across the full training lifecycle and play a pivotal role in preparing the workforce for construction, pre-operations and future operational requirements. With responsibility for a delivery team, strategic training partners, operational programmes, budget management and oversight of the effective administration of learning systems, you will have the scope to make a genuine and lasting impact.
If you are an experienced training delivery leader who can bring structure, pace and practical solutions to a complex major-project environment, we would love to hear from you.
The Role
As Training Delivery Manager, you will:
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of training and learning activity across the Sizewell C project
- Develop and maintain an integrated training delivery plan aligned with workforce demand, project priorities and future capability requirements
- Translate workforce forecasts, contractor requirements, skills gaps and operational needs into practical training solutions
- Oversee large-scale technical and non-technical training programmes supporting construction, pre-operations and operational readiness
- Lead the operational relationship with the Nuclear Skills Alliance and other external training partners
- Manage external providers, service arrangements, instructors and training delivery resources
- Provide day-to-day leadership to a team of approximately six people, ensuring activities and priorities are effectively managed
- Manage the Sizewell C training budget on a day-to-day basis
- Oversee training scheduling, logistics, administration, learner support and course coordination
- Ensure the effective use and administration of learning systems, including MyLearning Hub and SuccessFactors Learning
- Maintain accurate training records, completion data and management reporting
- Drive continuous improvement across training facilities, programmes, resources and delivery arrangements
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, contractors, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders, external partners and regulators, ensuring effective engagement, collaboration and communication to support the development and delivery of training that meets organisational and regulatory requirements
About You
We are looking for an experienced and credible training delivery professional who can operate confidently within a complex, fast-paced major project environment.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Around three to five years’ experience in a comparable training delivery, learning and development, workforce development or organisational learning role
- Proven experience managing large-scale training programmes and operational delivery teams
- Strong people management experience, with the ability to lead a team and manage day-to-day delivery
- Experience managing external training providers, service contracts or strategic delivery partnerships
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across operational, project, contractor and corporate teams
- Experience managing budgets and monitoring delivery against business requirements
- The ability to turn workforce and operational requirements into practical training plans and interventions
- Experience working within a complex, highly regulated or major-project environment
- Knowledge of training systems or learning management systems
- Strong planning, organisation, communication and reporting skills
- Confidence using Microsoft 365, including Excel and Outlook
Experience within nuclear, energy, construction, engineering, infrastructure or another major-project environment would be highly advantageous. Experience supporting workforce mobilisation, operational readiness, apprenticeships or early careers programmes would also be beneficial.
Formal qualifications are not the deciding factor for this role. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong, relevant operational experience and a track record of successfully leading training delivery in a complex environment.
