Sizewell C is entering an exciting phase of growth as we mature into an independent organisation and continue building one of the UK's largest and most important energy projects. We are now recruiting the below position.

Position: Project Manager - Turbine Instrumentation & Control

Location: Bristol (Hybrid, minimum 3 days per week in the office)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £75,000 depending on experience, plus benefits

Closing Date; 04.10.2026

Benefits include:

• Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays
• Bonus: 5% annual bonus
• Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with up to 7.5% employee contribution and 15% employer contribution

Role Overview

Sizewell C is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of critical Turbine Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems. This role will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, manufacture, testing, installation and commissioning of systems essential to the safe and reliable operation of the turbine, generator and wider nuclear infrastructure. This is a specialist project management opportunity requiring strong technical understanding of I&C delivery within complex regulated industries.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Instrumentation & Control systems to project requirements and critical milestones.
• Manage technical, commercial and delivery interfaces across suppliers and stakeholders.
• Oversee design development, manufacturing, testing and commissioning activities.
• Maintain configuration control and manage design changes within the I&C scope.
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project risks, schedules, budgets and change control processes.
• Collaborate closely with the wider Conventional Island and nuclear delivery teams.

About You

Essential

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Significant experience leading the development, manufacture and testing of Instrumentation & Control systems.
• Strong project management experience within complex engineering environments.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, rail, pharmaceuticals, defence or power generation.
• Experience managing major contracts, ideally within FIDIC environments.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.
• Chartered Project Professional (ChPP), Chartered Engineer, or working towards chartership.

Desirable

• Nuclear new build or operational nuclear experience.  
• Experience with complex control systems, automation, process control or industrial instrumentation projects.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle from concept through to handover.
